Exploring CenterCheck Site Details: From Single Stores to Entire Brands
CenterCheck’s new Site Details experience provides a unified way to analyze retail performance across single-tenant stores, multi-tenant centers, trade areas, and entire retail chains. Each view is designed to answer a different question—while sharing a consistent, data-first foundation.
Single-Tenant Site Details
Site Details begin at the individual store level. Opening a single-tenant location—such as a Target in Los Angeles—launches a full-page report that expands beyond the map’s MiniCard.
Key insights include:
- Total credit and debit card sales over the last 12 months
- Sales growth or decline trends
- Number of transacting customers and percentile rank nationally and statewide
- Sales per square foot, with time-series comparisons
- Industry benchmarking against comparable retailers
A new addition to CenterCheck is cross-shopping analysis, which tracks how customers move between retailers. Users can see which stores customers visited before and after shopping at a given location, revealing meaningful retail relationships—such as grocery stores that frequently feed traffic into big-box retailers.
Customer Origins and Visit Behavior
Site Details also show where customers are coming from by mapping the ZIP codes tied to transactions. This highlights commuter patterns and trade area reach. Visit timing data reveals peak days and hours, while curated lists surface both complementary retailers and competitive stores identified through CenterCheck’s analysis.
Demographic insights—including age, income, gender, and parental status—are derived directly from transaction behavior and compared to local census data to show how a store’s actual customers differ from the surrounding population.
Multi-Tenant Shopping Centers
For malls and strip centers, Site Details aggregate performance across all tenants while preserving store-level insights. Users can view:
- Total sales and transaction activity
- Tenant-to-tenant synergy analysis, showing whether retailers help or cannibalize one another
- Spend distribution across anchors and inline tenants
CenterCheck also highlights first-purchase behavior, identifying which tenants most often initiate a customer’s visit. This reveals how certain anchors—such as grocery stores—drive consistent foot traffic and support broader tenant performance.
Trade Area Analysis
Trade Area Site Details summarize economic activity across entire cities, counties, or custom polygons. These reports include:
- Total population and aggregate spending
- Demographic breakdowns (income, age, gender, ethnicity)
- Full visibility into all tracked retailers within the geography
From a trade area view, users can quickly drill down into individual stores to understand how broader market dynamics translate to site-level performance. This view is especially useful for cities, municipalities, and regional planning.
Brand-Level Site Details
CenterCheck also provides Site Details for entire retail chains. Brand views show:
- All tracked locations nationwide
- Store openings and closures over time
- Geographic expansion patterns
- Cross-shopping compatibility with other chains
- Store rankings, total sales, and sales per square foot
For fast-growing brands, users can visually track expansion and evaluate how new locations perform relative to the rest of the portfolio.
Saving and Sharing Insights
Every Site Details view can be downloaded instantly or saved to a Deal Room, allowing users to group stores, centers, trade areas, or brands into named opportunities—similar to creating a playlist. This makes it easy to organize research, share insights with clients, and track deals over time.
Together, these Site Details views create a flexible, end-to-end framework for understanding retail performance at every level.
